Our story
Why Martin started this firm.
Martin went to law school to make a difference. His early legal work didn't fit what he wanted that to mean, so he spent years in real estate development instead, learning how families actually build something lasting. That experience brought him back to law, this time for more personal, hands-on work.
Growing up, Martin's family had built a fine art collection over decades, a real piece of their shared history. When his father passed, the collection went to Martin's mother outright, with no trust protecting it. It seemed like the reasonable thing to do at the time. Without any structure around it, the collection became vulnerable to poor guidance and family pressure, and most of it was gone within a few years.
That loss taught Martin something he now tells every client: legacy is incredibly fragile. Good intentions aren't enough to protect a family's future. You need the legal structure behind them. He built Legacy Wealth Legal PLLC to be the advocate his father didn't have, focused on the guardrails that protect people from missteps, outside pressure, and sometimes themselves.
We build more than documents. Every plan includes fiduciary letters, help funding your trust so it actually works, clear explanations you can follow without a law degree, and a Legacy Interview so your family has your story, not just your signature.
